2021, a year crowned with success !

Yet another successful year for Wolfberger!

Proof of the high expectations it has for itself, the Alsatian winery accomplished a real tour de force, obtaining several Gold Medals that spotlight the various and different wines.

Dry whites, luscious sweet ones, Alsatian crémants, all these award-winning wines are the fruit of conscientious work in the vines done by our 350 Wolfberger viticulturists and expert vinification in the cellars by our perfectionist technical team.

Mundus Vini

To begin, let’s start with the Gold Medals received at the famous German competition Mundus Vini, where more than 11,000 wines are set to compete. The Riesling Grand Cru Frankstein 2019, Pinot Gris Luxuriance 2019 and the Pinot Gris Grand Cru Rangen 2016 were recognized.

Vinalies Nationales

Afterwards, two Gold Medals at the Vinalies Nationales competition were bestowed on the Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Steinert 2017 and our Riesling Signature 2020.

Concours Féminalise

At the Féminalise competition, four Gold Medals were taken by the Crémant d’Alsace Riesling, the Riesling Grand Cru Hengst 2019, the Pinot Gris Grand Cru Eichberg 2018 and the Pinot Gris Grand Cru Steingrubler 2018.

Concours National des Crémants

For its part, our excellent Crémant d’Alsace Chardonnay walked away with a Gold Medal at the National Competition for Crémants.

Concours Monde Sélection

The Belgian competition Monde Sélection awarded a Gold Medal to our delicate Pinot Gris Luxuriance 2019, a floral and subtly fruity wine.

Mondial des Pinots

And it was our Pinot Gris Grand Crus Hatschbourg 2019 that medalled Gold at the World of Pinots competition. A richly aromatic wine from limestone terroir, it is perfect for cellaring.

Mondial des Vins Blancs

Finally, the World Competition of White Wines closed out the accolades for Wolfberger wines with four Gold Medals awarded to a Sylvaner Vielles Vignes 2020, a Gewurztraminer Vendanges Tardives 2018, a Gewurztraminer Signature 2020 and a Crémant d’Alsace Chardonnay Fût de Chêne 2018 (aged in oak barrels) for a sparkling finish.
